disable splash on outlook express

i like outlook express. it’s easy and light. i’ve been using this about two years now. yeah maybe someday i’ll switch to thunderbird but unlikely, no. i use outlook express for sending and receiving e-mails and have all of my e-mails stored in my notebook. it’ll be a bitch if i lost the files. apart from its greatness, there’s something that annoy me in outlook express. the splash screen. i don’t like it. they suck. so, how to remove them?

besides using ie tweak or windows xp tweak, you can just edit the registry. please beware that modifying your registry unproperly can cause system damage. i will not responsible for that shit if you screw up. so, be careful.

the steps
1) open the registy. (start > run > regedit)

2) find outlook express user key : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Unique Identity}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0]

3) add a DWORD Value with this data :
Value Name : NoSplash
Value Data : 1

4) it kinda look like this :

that’s all. no more annoying splash screen. good luck.
